TaLea Briana Turnage, 8, of New Haven born on August 16, 2006 to Thomas Brian Turnage III of New Haven and Tamika Knight of Manhattan, passed away March 18, 2015.
At an early age TaLea had a love of music; she played the violin and was a member of the United Girls Choir. She also enjoyed reading, playing with her Barbie dolls, and dancing to her favorite song the Cha-Cha Slide. TaLea attended Lincoln Bassett Elementary School where she will be sorely missed by her teachers and classmates. She leaves behind to cherish her memory loving Grandmothers Elizabeth Knight and Deidre Johnston and a host of relatives and friends. A celebration of her life will take place Friday March 27, 2015 at 11 AM at Christ Chapel New Testament Church; 220 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511 with visitation Friday from 9 – 11 AM. Talea was a wonderful girl, full of life and joy. My boys and I will miss her terribly, even if you could not let her be banker during Monopoly games, lest $500 bills mysteriously appear in her portfolio. We had such fun together, playing in the yard, racing slot cars, baking Christmas cookies, and visiting the New England Air Museum. I am sorry we never made it to Quassy or NYC, but we will have all the other happy memories.
