Thelma McFadden, 54, of New Haven, CT entered eternal rest March 21, 2014 at Connecticut Hospice.
She was born to Tillman and Sarah (Spry) McFadden on June 14, 1959 in Mayesville, SC. Thelma loved cooking, children, her community and of course, her hats. Her vibrant spirit will be truly missed. She leaves to cherish her memory; parents, Tillman and Sarah McFadden; long time companion, William Shephard; sons, Willie Thompson, Daryl McFadden and Terrel Edge all of New Haven; daughter, Teeida Chisolm of New Haven; brothers, Tillman Jr (Kirsten) and Joseph McFadden; sisters, Julia, Mattie, Cutrella McFadden, of New Haven, CT and Jennie McFadden-Jenkins (Willie) of Baltimore, MD; four grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. A celebration of her life will take place Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11AM at Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church 782 Orchard Street New Haven, CT 06511. Calling hours will be Friday at the church from 9 – 11AM. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven, CT. Services by Howard K.
