Una (Unis) Victoria Brown, of New Haven, CT passed away peacefully in her sleep at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the age of 83.
A retiree of Yale New Haven Hospital, she was born to the late Henry and Rosalind Brown in the Dominican Republic on February 26, 1929. Loving mother of daughter Judith Lewis of Hamden, son Eugene Brown of New Haven, and son-in-law Fred Toussaint of Hamden, she leaves to her memory; brothers William Brown of England, Edward and Anselmo Brown of New York; sisters Agnita Forbes of St. Thomas, Vanetta Jones of St. Croix, Patricia Brown, Naomi Guerrero and Lina Sullivan all of New York, NY. She also leaves in cherished memory: 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends. Calling hours will take place on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 9 – 11AM at Pond Hill Baptist Church, 85 Pond Hill Road, North Haven, CT.
