Una Alma” E. Williams Woods, 94, of New Haven, departed this life March 7, 2014.

She was the widow of John H. Woods, Sr.
Born in St. John, Barbados, West Indies, July 19, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Justice Clarence Graham and Delcina Williams.
Prior to retiring, she was employed as a Laboratory Assistant at Yale University Department of Pharmacology for 30 years.
Mrs. Woods is survived by a son, Roderick Williams (Elsie); daughters, Sherrill Greenidge and Maria Taylor; grandchildren, Rachelle Taylor and Rachel Williams; eight grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by a son, Laureston Williams; and two brothers.
A memorial service to celebrate Mrs. Woods’ life and legacy will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014, at 3:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 64 Marlboro St., Hamden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Zion Seventh-Day Adventist Church Youth Department. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K.
