Valerie D. Wearing, 50, of New Haven, passed away Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017.
She was born on March 17, 1967, in Georgetown, S.C. to Jeremiah and Sarah B. (Heyward) Wearing, Sr. Valerie enjoyed traveling, playing computer games and was a member and financial secretary of the Elks Pocahontas Temple. She also worked as an IT analyst for the Veterans Administration.
Valerie leaves to cherish her memories, brother Jeremiah (Marcia) Wearing, Jr.; sister, Janis Wearing; nephew, Jeremiah Wearing, III; niece, Jakiaya Wearing; and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of her life will take place Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Mathews U.F.W.B. Church, 400 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511. Calling hours
