Vernitta Louise Lee, 56 of New Haven went home to be with the Lord September 29, 2009. Vernitta was born September 13, 1953 in New Haven, CT to the late Ruben, Sr. and Sara Lee. She leaves to cherish her memory; sons, Earl Staton, II, Shannon Lee, Travis Lee all of New Haven; daughters, Tamara Lee of Deep River; brothers, Marvin Lee of Houston, TX; sisters, Martha Lee, Shirley Lee, both of New Haven; 1 grandchild, ShiQuhan Staton and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ruben Jr, Robert, Raymond Lee and sister, Gloria Jean Lee McKoy. A celebration of her life will take place Tuesday at 11 AM at the Howard K. Hill Funeral Services 1287 Chapel St. New Haven, CT 06511. Friends may call Tuesday from 9 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Hamden Plains Cemetery, Hamden, CT.
