Virginia Jordan, 87 of West Haven, CT and Decatur, GA passed away peacefully on November 22, 2010 at Willows of Woodbridge. Virginia was a resident of Hamden, CT until her retirement. After retirement she moved to Georgia. She worked for Sheriden Middle School and Wilbur Cross High School in the Guidance Department and with CPI Neighborhood Services. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara (Sidney) Tyson, West Haven, CT, Dawn (Toney) Bell, Joanne (Norman) Pace and one son, John (Hillary) Jordan, Jr. ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. A wake will be held, Friday November 26, 2010 from 5 – 7:00 PM at Beulah Heights Pentecostal Church, 782 Orchard Street New Haven. Homegoing services will be held in Lithonia, GA at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, Bishop Eddie Long, Pastor. Interment will be held at Hillandale Memorial Gardens.
