William R. Jeter age 71 of New Haven, CT loving husband of Brenda Ferguson-Jeter departed this life on Saturday, October 18, 2014.
Mr. Jeter was born December 6,1942 in Stafford County, VA to Martha Dickerson. He was the stepson of Thomas Dickerson, Sr. He attended Stafford Public School System. He was employed for Gabriel Construction Co. for over 28 years. He was an avid Giants/Yankees fan and loved his time with family & friends. Besides his loving wife, he leaves 3 daughters Tanya (Bennie) Coleman, Jennifer Jeter both of New Haven, & Felicia Grimes of Wallingford, CT. His siblings sisters Helen Gregg & Barbara Jean (Morris) Smith both of VA, a brother Thomas (Sherry) Dickerson, Jr of SC. He also leaves 5 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons , 2 great granddaughters, a daughter in law & 1 uncle. He was predeceased by his son Wendell R. Jeter. A celebration of his life will take place Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11 AM at St. Matthew UFWB Church 400 Dixwell Avenue New Haven, CT with visitation Friday at the church from 9 — 11 am.
