William Shepard, 68, of New Haven born on August 25, 1946 in Blakely, GA to the late Johnny Shepard and Bernice (Douglas) Shepard, departed this life on July 12, 2015.
Mr. Shepard will be remembered for his honorable service in the United States Army as a Vietnam Veteran from 1967 – 1970. He then held employment with the City of New Haven as a custodian until his retirement. He leaves to cherish memory siblings Johnny (Marilyn) Shepard of GA, Larry (Martha) Shepard of GA, Ricky Shepard of GA, Richard Shepard of GA , Alva (Louis)Henderson of New Haven, Patricia Ann (Walter) Kennedy of GA, and a host of nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by 1 brother Robert Albert Shepard and 1 sister Dorothy Shepard Whitenberg. A celebration of his life will take place Monday July 20, 2015 at 11 AM at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services; 1287 Chapel St. New Haven, CT 06511 with visitation Monday at the funeral home from 10 – 11 AM.
