2 Shot Overnight

Two New Haven young men suffered non-life-threatening injuries after getting shot in separate incidents overnight.

At 1:23 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a Shot Spotter report of a shooting at the Mill River Crossing (former known as Farnam Courts) housing development on Grand Avenue. A 22-year-old man had indeed been shot, in the pelvis, and is in stable but critical condition” at Yale-New Haven Hospital, according to police spokesman Capt. Anthony Duff.

At 9:52 p.m. Wednesday, cops also responded to a call from the Cornell Scott Ridge Apartments on Easter Street, where they found a 20-year-old man with a shoulder gunshot wound, according to Duff. They also found a motor vehicle had been struck by a bullet.
