Green Goes Blue

An annual summertime concert series on the New Haven Green is back, and bigger than ever.

Now in its 14th year, the annual Blues, Berries, and Jam series will run for eight weeks instead of five.

The Wednesday lunchtime concerts are scheduled to coincide with the weekly downtown farmers market on the Green.

The series will kick off at noon on July 9 with a performance by the Cobalt Rhythm Kings (pictured).

Blues, Berries and Jam is organized by UltraRadio.com, an online radio station that plays only Connecticut musicians.

Here’s the summer lineup for Wednesdays, 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.:

July 9 — Cobalt Rhythm Kings
July 16 — Branchwater
July 23 — Matt Rhone & Grit Rhythm
July 30 — The Mojo Boys
August 6 — Bluzberry Pi
August 13 — Frank Viele
August 20 — The Langley Brothers Project
August 27 — The Travis Moody Band
