(Updated with victim ID) A second shooting in two days took place on Congress Avenue at Redfield Street, this one fatal.
Police got the call for this second shooting at 11:26 p.m. Tuesday, according to police spokesman Capt. Anthony Duff.
They found a man lying shot in the street. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he was declared dead.
The victim was later identified as Thomas Hart, 28, “previously of Milford.” His killing was the year’s second homicide.
A man was shot in the arm at at Congress & Redfield at 7:14 p.m. Monday, Duff said.
“It is unknown if Tuesday’s fatal shooting is related” to that first shooting, he stated in a release.
He asked anyone with information to call detectives at 203 – 946-6304.
