Marguerite Turns 100

U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, Marguerite Trotta, Edward Trotta and Robert Trotta

Bob Trotta sent in the following about his mom’s 100th birthday:

On October 28, 2012, family and friends joined Marguerite Gentile Trotta and her two sons, Robert of New Haven and Edward of East Greenwich, RI in celebrating her 100th Birthday at La Luna Ristorante in Branford, CT. She was also surprised by a visit from U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro whose family has been friends with Marguerite for decades. Marguerite was born in New Haven, CT and lived and raised her family there. She is the widow of the late Atty. Horace F. Trotta who passed away on December 5, 1983. She is the last surviving member from a family of eight. She had four brothers and three sisters. Despite having three hip replacements over the past nine years and two stents inserted into a blocked artery this past July 20th, she continues to maintain a positive attitude. Her only regret is that she cannot drive to make her weekly jaunts to Kohl’s and Dress Barn in Branford.
