I miss the old sign as well. But it did not comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (the typeface did not work for people with vision impairments) and is not coming back.

On a somewhat related note, I wish ConnDOT posted arrivals on one of ground level video monitors.

Great and beautiful structure. First time I came to New Haven in '87 from New York for a job interview I came up the stairs to the hall and was met by a man throwing a trash can at a police officer. I do miss the Solari board. If you watched it you would see destinations outside the Norteast Corridor routes. Pittsburgh, St. Petersburgh, Montreal among others. I agree there does seem to be a conspiracy of keeping arrival information secret.

The direction from GCT to New Haven Union station is West to East, not south to north . New haven is east of NYC and west of Boston , south of Springfield.
