Deborah Jean Griffin, 60, of New Haven, departed this life June 17, 2013.
Born in Birmingham, AL, October 18, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Griffin.
Ms. Griffin was employed for over 20 years at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
She is survived by a daughter, Cerella Griffin; brother, Eric Griffin; sister, Jackie Denise Griffin; granddaughter, Ariel Powell; nieces, Lawanda Barno Griffin and Janea Griffin; a nephew, Jerome Craig Griffin; great nieces, Tyahmmah and Ruhona Barno; an aunt, Betty Jean Simmons; and other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by sisters, Linda Faye and Robbie Annette Griffin.
A celebration of Ms. Griffin’s life and legacy will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew’s Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Burial will be in Hamden Plains Cemetery.
