Martha A. Bazzle (Jackie B), 91, a longtime resident of Jersey City, N.J. prior to relocation to New Haven, entered into eternal rest on June 19, 2018.
She was born in Springfield, Mass. on Aug. 18, 1926, to the late Cecil and Ethel (Johnston) Burnett. She retired as a wire woman in the communications industry. Following retirement, she became a bus driver for special needs children.
Jackie B leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Frances “Teena” Bordeaux and Debora (Shelford) Mitchell; special daughter, Robin James; sister, Carlotta Glynn; grandchildren, Jason Bordeaux, Jashonne Bordeaux, Jushel Mitchell, and Shellene Mitchell; special granddaughters, Jadea Raines, Jacinta Broome, and Janea Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Janiyha Brown, Jade Bordeaux, Jace Bordeaux, Jayla Leveille, and Trishian Nicholson; and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of her life will take place Friday at 11 a.m. at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511.
