Bernice Seaberry Estes, 90

Bernice Seaberry Estes, 90, of New Haven, CT. was granted her wings and peacefully transitioned into the arms of the Lord, Thursday, March 3rd.

Born in Dumas, Arkansas, May 29, 1925, Bernice was the second of nine children of the late George and Cora Thomas Seaberry. For 55 wonderful years she was the devoted wife of the late Eddie L. Estes, Sr. Bernice was also a faithful member of the Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ for over 65 years and served in a variety of capacities including church’s secretary, bereavement clerk, singing in the choir, and working on numerous committees to name a few. Surviving to live her legacy are her children, two daughters, Evelyn Jean Watley of New Haven, Marilyn L. Estes of Columbia, MD, one son, Eddie L. Estes, Jr. (Jean O.) of Miami, FL; a Godson and Goddaughter, Rudolph and Lilly (Eloise) Perkins of New Haven; four grandchildren, Sheila R. Draughn of Gaithersburg, MD, Eric D. Watley (Leslie) of North Haven, Montego L. Estes of Miami, FL and Eddie L. Estes, III of Atlanta, GA and one God granddaughter, Tiara Perkins of New Haven; four great grandchildren, Jordan, Brandon, and Erica Watley of North Haven and London Estes of Miami, FL. One brother, Tucker Seaberry (Carmay) of New Haven, two sisters, Theresa Rogers of MO, Rosemarie Williams (Daniel) of KS; and a host of sister and brother-in-law’s, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, friends, caregivers, and church family. She is predeceased by her son, Paul Frederick (Ricky) Estes; three brothers, George Rufus, Johnny, and Leroy Seaberry, and two sisters, Hattie Mae Cofield and Mildred Clark. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 12, 2016 at the New Trinity Temple, Church of God in Christ, 285 Dixwell Ave with calling hours from 9:00 — 11:00 am, and a celebration of her life at 11:00 am. A graveside service will take place on Monday March 14, 2016 at 10 am at Beaverdale Memorial Park. Services entrusted to Howard K.
