Cheryl A. Roberts, 60, of New Haven departed this life on March 9, 2016.
She was born on June 15, 1955 to the late Ernest and Edith (Andrews) Roberts in New Haven, CT. Cheryl worked for 19 years for the City of New Haven in the food services department.
She was a very funny and family orientated woman who enjoyed cooking, old school music such as “Charlie Wilson, Freddy Jackson and Luther Vandross” and going to the casino.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter; Shanda (Kenneth) Roberts-Brogdon and son Damon K. Roberts Sr., both of New Haven, one sister; Lori (Isaiah) Williams of New Haven, three grandchildren; Damon K. Roberts Jr., Bobby R. Fields III and Shawn Roberts-Brogdon, special niece and great nephew; Kelli Lakeeba McNeil and Tyrone Thomas Jr., best friend; Diane Minter and a host of family and friends. She is predeceased by one sister; Rose Lorraine McNeil, and a nephew; Terrance McNeil. A celebration of her life will take place on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Christian Tabernacle, 425 Newhall St., Hamden, CT. Calling hours will be from 10 – 11am and service will begin at 11am.
