Chester Arthur Hughes, Jr., 68, of New Haven, passed away Dec. 3, 2016.
He was born in Philadelphia to Ethel Nathan Hughes and the late Chester Hughes Sr. on Aug. 8, 1948. He worked as a signal maintainer with Amtrak for many years.
Chester leaves to cherish his memories, loving wife, Jennifer Lawrence Hughes; sons, Casey (Nicole) Hughes of Pennsylvania, Chester “Chet” Hughes, III of Portland, Ore., and Trevor Lawrence of Meriden; daughter, Eva E. Hughes of Boston; grandchildren, Blaise Hughes and Elixis “Lexi” Lawrence; great-grandchild, Brooklynn Gray; parents-in-law, Richard and Eva Watt of West Haven; and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will take place Dec. 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Bible Gospel Center, 143 Leeder Hill Dr, Hamden, CT 06517.
