Cynthia Ann Hall Rogers, daughter of the late James Hall and Catherine Leonard Hall, was born in New Haven, Connecticut on March 7, 1963. She departed this life at her home in New Haven on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Cynthia attended New Haven Public Schools, graduating from Wilbur Cross High School in 1982. After graduation she remained a life-long resident of New Haven and began a brief career as a Home Health Aide and then as a Security Officer with Yale University.
On June 25, 1992, Cynthia was united in Holy Matrimony to Thomas Rogers. She dedicated her life to being a loving wife and home-maker to her family and members of Pitts Chapel Unified Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, writing, cooking, and just being at home. She looked forward to talking to her mother every day. When she was younger, she spent a lot of summers in Rocky Mount, N.C., and looked forward to attending the annual family reunion. As she got older, she didn’t travel as much, but when her family visited New Haven, she enjoyed hanging out and being surrounded by them. Cynthia took pride in raising her only son, Kendall Hall, and watching him grow into an amazing young man.
Cynthia was predeceased by her father, James Hall.
Cynthia leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Thomas Rogers of New Haven; son, Kendall Hall of Henrico, VA; mother, Catherine Hall of Nashville, N.C.; brother, Rickie Hall (Lavernn) of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; nephew, Malcolm Hall of Portsmouth, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Debra Smith and Dianne Davis, both of New Haven; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
