Elder Chawn Christian Shoulders 46 of New Haven departed this life on February 25, 2016.
He was born on March 16, 1969 in Nashville, TN to Roosevelt and Cheryl (Edmondson) Shoulders. Eld. Shoulders was a preacher in his own right and attended the American Baptist Theological Seminary in Nashville. His favorite baseball team was the Yankees, and he loved to watch the NFL games as well.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Verlessie Catherine (Barnes) Shoulders; four children, Taylor Lucky-Jackson (Nicole) from CT, Joshua Shoulders of West Haven, Kalie Shoulders and Jaiden Shoulders of New Haven; one grandchild Madison Giovanni Jackson; Sister, Dr. Roshanda Shoulders of MD. He was preceded by his brother Chauncey Shoulders. Services will be held Thursday, March 3rd at The New Trinity Temple COGIC, 285 Dixwell Ave., New Haven, CT. Viewing from 5 to 7pm and services at 7pm. A graveside service will take place on Friday, March 4th at 10am at Beaverdale Memorial Park.
