On April 26, 2009, Elizabeth Louise Gary departed this life. Betty was born in Cheraw, South Carolina to Buck and Bessie Smith Gary. She was educated in Chesterfield, SC, moving to New Haven, CT at 19. She was employed by Majestic Laundry and the New Haven Board of Education. Betty leaves to mourn, three sons, Melvin (Rosalee), Delano, and Charles Gary, all of New Haven.; One daughter, Elizabeth Gary of Woodbridge, CT. She was predeceased by her two sisters Queen E. Gaddy, and Ruthie Mae Gary Johnson. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, May 1, 2009 at 11 AM at Christian Training and Healing Center 135 Bristol St., New Haven, CT 06511.
