John Anthony Hammett, 53 of New Haven entered into eternal life on November 18, 2009. John was born November 5, 1956 in New Haven, CT to Emily Coles Hammett of New Haven, CT and the late David Hammett. He graduated from Wilbur Cross High School and attended college in Baltimore, MD. He established his business, Superior Pest Control of New Haven in 1996. Prior to owning his own business, he worked at Acme Pest Control. John was a member of the Trinity Temple COGIC and became Deacon in 2006. John leaves precious memories for his mother, Emily Coles Hammett; wife, Brenda Hammett; sons, John Anthony, Jr. and Corey Devon Hammett; brothers, James (Deborah) Hammett, Michael Hammett (Rosa) both of New Haven and Steven Hammett of MS; sisters, Diane (Carl) Hammett-Telford and Christine Hammett both of New Haven and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. A celebration of his life will take place Wednesday November 25, 2009 at 11 AM at Trinity Temple COGIC 285 Dixwell Ave New Haven, CT. Friends may call Wednesday at the church from 9 – 11 AM.
