Maudice (Rawls) Shaw, 81 of New Haven departed this life Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born in New Haven, August 30, 1927 to the late Benjamin F. and Ada O. (Williams) Rawls. She was predeceased by her husband Leon Shaw and one son Karl Leon Shaw. She leaves to cherish her memory one loving daughter Sheila A. (Shaw) Baldwin, her son-in-law Frederick D. Baldwin and three granddaughters, Tara E. and Carol N. Baldwin, and Kristina R. (Arthur) Battle; her adopted son, Jon William Hudson. She is survived by one sister, Beatrice Rawls; three brothers, Oscar (Ethel), Kenneth, and Joseph (Lucinda) Rawls, and a host of relatives and friends. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 7 PM at Beulah Heights Church 782 Orchard St., New Haven, CT 06511. Friends may call at the church from 5 – 7 PM.
