Rosa Parks, 78, of New Haven, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018.
She was born in Collinston, Louisiana on April 13, 1940 to the late Willie Barfield and Beatrice Ghoston Barfield. She retired after 25 years of service as a supervisor with Pacific Bell.
Rosa leaves to cherish her memory, siblings, Willie Mae Winn of Longview, TX, James Oliver (Shirley) Barfield of Portland, OR, Willie B. Barfield of Meriden, and Larry Morgan Barfield of Colliston, LA; and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings, Lee Anna Barfield, Leon Barfield, Columbus Barfield, Shirley Barfield, and Carrie Lee Barfield.
A celebration of her life will take place Friday, August 3, 2018 at 6:00 PM at Community Baptist Church, 143 Shelton Ave, New Haven 06511. Friends may call Friday at the church from 5:00 – 6:00 PM.
