
Tekejai “Keya” Erania Grigsby of New Haven, CT, entered into eternal rest on April 29, 2025. Keya was born on November 17, 1981 in New Haven, Conn., to the late Denise Heloise Grigsby-Carter and Raymond Miller.
“Keya,” as she was known and loved by many, graduated from James Hillhouse High School in New Haven, Conn. She went on to start her career in public transportation, working at Winkle Bus Company for 18 years, where she enjoyed working with her kids and driving the bus. She also enjoyed music, spending time at the casino, playing cards, going to concerts, reading her bible, as well as going to church. She also enjoyed road trips and was known for her sense of humor.
Keya leaves to cherish her life and memory, her longtime companion, Oiden McFadden; brother, Tywan Garner, Sr. (Celisa); sisters, Terri Grigsby-Smith (Dewayne), Tara Carter, and Tadia Grigsby-Council (David); and all of her family, including her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Denise H. Grigsby-Carter; and father, Raymond Miller.
