Veronica Williams, 85, of New Haven, passed away Dec. 6, 2016.
She was born in Canouan, St. Vincent to the late Albert Simmons and Agatha DeRoche on May 27, 1931. She enjoyed caring for her children, traveling, and keeping the family linked together.
Veronica leave to cherish her memories, son, Neverson DeRoche, Vincent DeRoche, Trevor DeRoche, and Roy Williams; daughter, Rachael Wright; step-daughter, Eva Williams; brothers, Fredrick DeRoche, Ken DeRoche, and Cyril; sister, Othilda DeRoche; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Banfield Simmons; sisters, Dorothy DeRoche and Elizabeth DRoche; and grandson, Jerry DeRoche.
A celebration of life will take place Dec. 10, 2016 at 9 a.m. at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511. Friends may call Saturday at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
