Violet Frasier

111609_VioletFrasier2.jpgViolet Frasier, age 74, of New Haven, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the widow of Esaw Frasier.

Violet was born December 17, 1934, in Hemingway, SC, daughter of the late Sie and Lillie Mae Turner.

She was a resident of New Haven for the past 54 years. Violet retired from Yale University and spent her life as a devoted wife and mother.

She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Harry (Annie), Mark Anthony, Arthur and James Edward Frasier all of New Haven; a daughter, Priscilla Daluz (Larry) of Fresno, CA; sisters, Estelle Rice of New York and Elouise Sumpter and Lillie Ann McClary both of South Carolina; brothers, Thomas Lee, John, Roy Lee, Sie, Jr. and James Ernest Turner all of South Carolina; six grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by brothers, JC and Charles Turner; and sisters, Carrie Brutton and Diane Cooper.

A celebration of Mrs. Frasier’s life and legacy will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at Agape Christian Center, 90 Goffe St., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Georgetown, SC on November 21, 2009. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K.
