Brother Wayne Raymond Williams, 73 of New Haven entered into eternal rest on April 16, 2009 in Robstown, TX. Br. Wayne attended Keene State University in New Hampshire and performed volunteer work with Dixwell Opposes Alcohol in New Haven as a court liaison for recovering alcoholics. After discerning a vocation to the religious life, Br. Wayne attended Holy Apostles College in Cromwell, CT earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology. He became a consecrated brother with the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity in Robstown, TX where he was a Facilitator of Religious Studies for new candidates to the Roman Catholic priesthood. Br. Wayne also served in missions in Papua, New Guinea, South America and Mexico. He was highly regarded for his deep and ardent affection for the Blessed Mother, his work within the pro-life movement, his love of photography and his endeavors in the area of overcoming addiction. Br. Wayne was born on February 20, 1936 to William and Anna Williams. He was predeceased by a sister, Narazette Adele Patterson and four brothers, William Jr., Fred, George and Bruce. He leaves a beloved sister, Regina London and a devoted brother, Allen (Rubbs) Williams (Hazel) to cherish his memory; along with several loving nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Martin de Porres Church, 136 Dixwell Ave, New Haven on Thursday April 23, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Friends may call Thursday at the church at 9:00AM.
