Police have made an arrest in a fatal shooting that took place early Saturday, May 18, as the clubs let out downtown.
Tyrell Drew, 21, was killed and two other men were injured in a triple-shooting that day at the intersection of College and Crown streets.
After the shooting, eye witnesses came forward and helped detectives crack the case, according to city spokeswoman Anna Mariotti. Detective Bertram Ettienne, under the supervision of Sgt. Tony Reyes, secured a warrant for a murder suspect on July 9.
The suspect, a 21-year-old man from Bridgeport, was arrested Friday and charged with murder and two counts of first-degree assault.
Police plan to release more details at a press conference Monday at 12:30 p.m. at police headquarters.
Well done NHPD.
