She drove a Nissan Maxima. She was traveling in the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and Norton Street around 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

He drove a Chevy Impala through the same intersection. Their cars crashed, sending the Impala about a third of the way up the block on Norton. Both drivers told police that the other had run a red light.

The crash activated the air bags in both cars. No one was seriously injured, according to police at the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Neither of the drivers had passengers with them.

A driver from Crown Towing appeared promptly at the scene and began hooking up the Impala.

Police told him they needed to clear the road as quickly as possible and assured him that his insurance would cover the cost of the tow.
