Juanese Brooker, 67, born on August 27, 1947 to the late Henry Brooker Sr. and Odessa Tilley, passed away May 3, 2015.
Ms. Brooker will be remembered for her rewarding career as a school teacher at Carrigan Intermediate School with the West Haven Board of Education. She leaves to cherish her memory sisters Sallie Brooker of New Haven, Georgia (Harold) Spurgess of GA, Mary and Joanne Barber both of Hamden and a host of nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brother Henry Brooker Jr. and nephew the Honorable Alderman of the 23rd Ward Alvis Brooker. A celebration of her life will take place Saturday May 9, 2015 at 9:30 AM at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church; 26 Edwards St. Hamden, CT 06511 with visitation Saturday at the church from 8:30 – 9:30 AM.
