Ted Kennedy Jr.‘s opponent has called on him to return the public money his campaign received given the fact that he also accepted close to $100,000 in separate “pass-through” money from the state Democratic Party — after Kennedy had promised to combat the “polluting” influence of money in politics.

Behind the scenes, Ted is lining things up to take Rosa DeLauro's seat once she eventually retires. This State Senate seat is just an obvious stepping stone, and a means to higher office.
Thus the question remains for the rest of us if a Kennedy is what we want, and should if we, as New Haven democrats, should fall-in behind a guy who doesn't seem to care that he is actively gutting our public campaign financing system.
Fwiw, I'd much rather send a true progressive to D.C., someone like GHW or Kevin Lembo.
