Soul De Cuba’s signature sauce is available everywhere from Hawaii to the Caribbean and, finally, on Chapel Street.
The sauce is called mojo, pronounced “mow-hoe,” a marinade developed by Soul De Cuba restaurant on Crown Street. For years, it’s been available through Soul De Cuba Specialty Foods, a related company that sells sauces and salsas online and in grocery stores across the country.
Now it’s available in New Haven, at the Elm City Food Co-op. The grocery store will hold a “Cooking With Mojo” product demonstration on the third Thursday of every month, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
