Move Over, Skull & Bones

You’re heard of Skull & Bones, the Yale secret society. Now New Haven’s getting a Shell & Bones” — and this one’s open for anyone to walk inside, whether or not you have ties to the CIA or your last name is Bush.

Two local restauranteurs, Mark Knight and Rob Boldus of Geronimo’s, picked the name for a steak and seafood eatery they plan to open this spring on the water in City Point.

The restaurant will replace the popular Sage American Grill & Oyster Bar at 100 South Water St., which the pair, along with Daniel Kay, have purchased from Dave McCoart.

The news owners have also lined up a star executive chef: Franco Camacho of Roomba, Bespoke and Suburban fame.
