A day after someone stabbed a 50-year-old man to death in Fair Haven, police arrested a suspect.
Detectives Monday arrested a 42-year-old Fillmore Street man on a warrant charging him with the murder, of James Edward Foley.
“The suspect in the crime is believed to be the boyfriend of the victim’s estranged wife. The stabbing happened in her apartment. Inconsistencies in the stories of those involved and evidence from the scene led the detectives toward the arrest,” police spokesman Officer David Hartman wrote in a press release.
Detectives David Zaweski and Michael Wuchek led the investigation under the supervision of Sgt. David Zannelli.
