Police Looking For New Haven Inn Robber

Police are looking for a woman who is believed to have helped rob the New Haven Inn on Pond Lily Avenue.

On Friday, Aug. 12, the motel was reportedly robbed by a man who, the cops believe, might have had help from a woman.

The police are looking for the person pictured above, who appears to be a woman. During the night of the robbery, the person wore a blue hooded sweatshirt with a reflective emblem on the chest, black knee-length pants and black and white sneakers, according to a press release from police spokesman Officer David Hartman.

Cops believe the robber had an accomplice who knocked at the office door and distracted the clerk while he retrieved something for her, according to Hartman.

The woman held open the door and signaled to her armed accomplice to commit the robbery. The woman’s blue hooded sweatshirt appears to have Albertus Magnus College” printed on the front. She also wore a white T‑shirt beneath the sweatshirt.

Video surveillance does not show the armed person’s face. Anyone with information on the accomplice’s identity is urged to phone detectives at 203 – 946-6304. Calls may be made anonymously.
