Sal DeCola is asking people to help him clean up and “beautify” Fort Hale Park this weekend.
DeCola (pictured), an alder from Morris Cove, arranged for public works crews to arrive with rakes “and other basic equipment” to help volunteers conduct the clean-up at the park on Woodward Avenue beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday. Volunteers should bring “gloves, sunscreen and water,” DeCola said.
Shouldn't Public Works be doing this on a regular basis anyway? Isn't that their job or is that the same old story they don't have enough manpower?
