Christmas Concert with the Trinity Choir
The Choir of Men and Boys of Trinity Church in New Haven is the oldest existing Choir of Men and Boys in Connecticut, and one of the oldest in the United States. This year its annual Christmas concert gets underway at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Church on the Green, corner of Temple and Chapel Streets, $10 donation. Don’t miss this one. It’s worth the trip over the bridge.
Holiday Brass
Celebrate the holiday season with a special Brass Quintet concert at the Yale Center for British Art, 1080 Chapel St., New Haven. The program, sponsored by the New Haven Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet, includes many holiday favorites, including “It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas,” “The First Noel,” “Christmastime is Here,” and “Sleigh Ride.” The concert takes place in the Center’s Library Court from 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Seating is limited. Admission is free.
FROZEN Fever
Frozen Fever is back by popular demand. Oscar winner for Best Animated Film of the Year, Frozen is a movie bringing adventure to all. The film is produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and is a computer-animated musical fantasy-comedy. Thanks to the Willoughby Wallace Library, 146 Thimble Islands Road, Stony Creek, the film gets rolling at 4 p.m. Snacks provided. Admission is free.
Saturday, Dec. 20.
Handel’s ‘Messiah’ will be performed at the First Congregational Church, 26 Meeting House Lane, in Madison. Performance starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $15.
Open Dance Party
Event will be held at Dance in Rhythm, 19 S. Main St., Branford from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $12.
Paper Craft Workshop
Holiday Crafting Fun for all ages with Brigitte Riga. Make a holiday gift at the Willoughby Wallace Library, 146 Thimble Islands Road, in Stony Creek. Event gets underway at 11 a.m. Registration required. Call the library at: 203 – 488-8702. This program is sponsored by the Friends of Willoughby Wallace Library. Free.

Handel’s ‘Messiah,’ Christmas Portion
Don’t miss the First Congregational Church of Branford’s “Messiah,” the Christmas portion, which will be performed by the Branford Messiah Community Chorus and noted soloists (See top photo). The church is located at 1009 Main St. on the Branford Green. “Messiah” begins at 5:30 p.m. Please arrive 20 minutes early.
