Ana Mae Doris Estes, 86

Ana Mae Doris Estes, 86, of New Haven peacefully departed this life on May 22, 2017, at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Ana Mae was born to the late Frank and Ethel Estes in Dumas, Ark. on May 1, 1931. A resident of New Haven since 1951, Ana Mae was a knowledgeable and conscientious worker of U.N. Royale Co. in Naugatuck; Shartenberg’s Department Store; Cheseborough Pond Co., Clinton; retiring from Olin Corp. in 1993. 

Ana Mae attended Quinnipiac College, now Quinnipiac University, and Yale University continuing education seminars and workshops. She was a long-time, faithful member of the Trinity Temple/The New Trinity Temple Church Of God In Christ, Inc. in New Haven until recently joining Bethcar Fellowship Church in Hamden.

Ana Mae loved the Lord, family, church and cooking. Ana Mae leaves to cherish her memories, two brothers, Elder Thomas Estes of Kansas City, and Cecil R. Estes, Sr. of New Haven; three sisters, Iona Seals of Kansas City, Frances Clemitine Stancil and Imogean (Chester) Bordeaux of New Haven.

She is pre-deceased by her parents, Frank and Ethel Estes; brothers, Eddie (Bernice) Estes, Sr., George Truett (Lela) Estes, and Napoleon Estes; and sister, Rosalee Estes Perkins. Ana Mae Doris is loved by many and will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A celebration of life will take place Wednesday at 11 a.m. The New Trinity Temple C.O.G.I.C., 285 Dixwell Ave., New Haven, CT 06511. Friends may call Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will be at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. Services by Howard K.
