Ann Smith Sanderson, 87, of New Haven, entered into rest on November 27, 2011.
Born in Ansonia, CT, July 23, 1924, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward T. Smith, Sr. and Ruth Jones Smith. Ann retired from the City of New Haven Board of Education where she was employed as a Paraprofessional for over 15 years. She also worked part-time at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She is survived by her children, Barbara Godfrey and Bruce Sanderson; a sister, Eleanor Gomez; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ann was predeceased by brothers Edward T. Smith Jr. and Russell H. Smith.
