Carrie Mae Watley, 91, of New Haven, passed away Oct. 30, 2017.
She was born in Eagle Mills, Ark. to the late Felix and Maude Williams Young on March 8, 1926. She retired from New Haven Savings Bank where she worked in the new accounts department.
Carrie leaves to cherish her memory, brothers, Louis Young and Allen (Margaret) Young; sisters, Willie Mae Madden and Ruthell (Monroe) Allen; two grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Harry S. Watley, Sr.; sons, Harry S. Watley, Jr. and Jonathan E. Watley; brother, Lawrence Young, Sr.; and sister, Ruthenia Washington.
A celebration of her life will take place Monday at 11 a.m. at Bethel AME Church, 255 Goffe St, New Haven, CT. Friends may call Monday at the church from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will be at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. Services by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St, New Haven, CT.
