Christian Ngongi-Semi, 16 of New Haven was born October 30, 1994, in New Haven, CT to Simon N. Ngongi and Annie Gumba-Kinsumba.
Christian was described by many as a “role model to everybody”. He was a very smart, intelligent and well mannered young man. Christian was a student at Joseph A. Foran High School in Milford, CT where he was a member of the Track and Cross Country teams. He will be remembered for his creative writing and drawing. He was presently working on a book. Tragically, on September 3, 2011, during his walk home with a friend, Christian was struck and killed by a driver. He leaves to cherish his memory; Parents, Simon N. Ngongi and Annie Gumba-Kinsumba of New Haven; brothers, Serge Ngongi of Congo and Julien Ngongi of Ottawa, Canada; sisters, Simone and Sarah Ngongi of New Haven; Maternal Grandmother, Dorcas Wumba of New Haven; Paternal Grandmother, Marie Lukula of Congo DRC; uncles, Semi Semi-Dikoko of New Haven; Jean Marie Ghamba of Brussels, Belgium, Claude D. Vauaki of Paris, France, Frank Bider of London, UK; aunts Annie Bebi of Brussels, Belgium, Lucienne Nkebani of New Haven and a host of other relatives in Africa, Europe, North America and the student body of Foran High School.
A celebration of his life will take place Saturday September 10, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Living Word Ministries, 225 Meloy Road, West Haven, CT 06516. Visitations will be held Friday September 9, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 1324 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06511 AND Saturday September 10, 2011 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at Living Word Ministries, 225 Meloy Rd, West Haven, CT.
