Cora Ellen Flowers, 87, passed away on May 8, 2013.
Cora was born on June 19, 1925 in Goldsboro, NC to the late Robert Lee Flowers and Nora (Flowers) Hamilton. She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Jeris Flowers, Dennis Flowers, both of New Haven; daughters, Brenda Flowers, of NC; brothers, William Flowers of CA., Robert Wynn of NC; sisters, Ethel Sampson, Ernestine Best both of NC., Barbara Ramsey of GA.; 9 grandchildren, 15 great Grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by, daughter, Debra Handy, brother, Robert Lee Flower Jr., sister, Dorothy Newsome. A Celebration of her life will take place on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 11AM at Bethel AME Church, 255 Goffe St. New Haven, CT 06511. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 – 11AM at the church.
