Elizabeth Christine Brevard, 86 of New Haven, born January 3, 1929 in Camden, SC to the late James Evans and Rosa Lee (Allen) Thompson entered eternal rest on January 16, 2015.
Elizabeth worked as an Information Specialist for many years at CT Transit. Prior to her years at CT Transit she worked as a nurse assistant at Winchester School, New Haven. She leaves to cherish her memory; sons, William (Janice) Brevard, Jr., George (Sonya) Brevard, Sr., Derrick Brevard all of New Haven, and Bryan Brevard, Sr. of West Haven,; brothers, James Thompson, Jr. of OH, John Thompson of NY; and sister, Mabel T. Gill of SC; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, William Brevard, Sr.; son, Donnie Brevard, Sr. and brothers, Willie and George Thompson. A celebration of her life will take place, Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church, 425 Newhall St. Hamden, CT 06514 with visitation Friday at the church from 10 – 11:00 AM.
