Ethel C. Archibald, 84, of North Haven born on May 29, 1930 in Huntsville, AL to the late Berry Cowan and Mattie Watkins, passed away quietly January 27, 2015.
She will be remembered for her employment as a daycare administrator. Ethel graduated from Alabama A & M in 1952 with a bachelor’s of science degree. Some of her favorite enjoyments were cooking, gardening, listening to the “blues” and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory loving husband of 55 years Robert S. Archibald Sr., children; Mitchell Archibald of New Haven, Robert S. (Latasha) Archibald Jr. of No. Haven, Lucille (Randy) Archibald-Perry of Hamden; grandchildren Ashlee Archibald of N.C., Robert Archibald III of New Haven, Mehkei and Khalilah Archibald both of No. Haven, Randy Perry Jr., Aaron and Cole Perry all of Hamden, and a host of relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by brother Andrew Cowan and nephews Pete and Harold Cowan. A celebration of her life will take place Friday February 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church; 111 Whalley Ave., New Haven, with visitation at the church from 10 – 11 AM.
