Florence Celeste Parker Monroe, 78, of New Haven, departed this life May 9, 2012.
She was the widow of Herbert H. Monroe.
Born in Baltimore, MD, May 8, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Henry L. and Daisy Reid Parker.
Mrs. Monroe was employed by the Board of Child Care of the United Methodist Church Inc. as a Child Care Provider.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Monroe and Lisa Monroe; a brother, Henry E. Parker; a sister, Peggy Ammons; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Parker; and sisters, Thelma Wiley and Betty Ford.
