Gloria Whitty-Cruz, 50

So many hearts are hurting today thinking of our lost loved one Gloria Whitty-Cruz, 50, of New Haven, born June 24, 1964 to Lessie Whitty and the late Harry Bonner, Jr., after eighteen years of battling with breast cancer she passed away peacefully on December 8, 2014 at CT Hospice Hospital.

She leaves to cherish her memory (daughter) Tylo Cruz, (sons) Fabian (Candace) Cruz, Juan Cruz, Gabriel Cruz (brother) Michael (Dawn) Whitty, (sisters) Nadine Mangum and Gwendolyn (Charlie) Bonner-Bennett (nephews) Nigel Bonner, Urias Mangum (niece) Dana Mangum (dearest friends) Barbara Nelson, Deborah Walker and a host of relatives and friends.

At a tender age, she was introduced to, and accepted Christ as her Savior. She was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. After working for 23 years for The United States Postal Service Gloria retired as a Postal Service Clerk from the East Haven Post Office.

Celebration of her life will take place Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 10AM at Church On The Rock, 95 Hamilton St., New Haven, CT with visitation at the Church from 9 – 10AM.
