Hardy Davis, Sr., 80, of New Haven, departed this life suddenly on May 24, 2013.
He was the husband of Loray Davis.
Born in Caryville, FL, November 6, 1932, he was the son of the late Jefferson Davis, Sr. and Rosa Lee Davis.
Prior to retiring, Mr. Davis was employed at the former U.S. Repeating Arms as a Machine Operator and Gun-stock Shaper.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Tomas Brazzell, Hardy Davis, Jr. and Anthony Brown, Sr. (Juanita); daughters, Sandra Peterson and Marquitta Davis Baron (Lyle); a brother, John Lewis Davis; a sister, Rose E. Stallworth (Willie D.); eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by four brothers.
A celebration of Mr. Davis’ life and legacy will be held Friday, May 31, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel AME Church, 255 Goffe St., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M.
