Harriet A. Horner Bonner, 80, of New Haven, departed this life July 19, 2013.
She was the widow of Edward Bonner.
Born in New Haven, CT, March 27, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Esther Horner.
She is survived by her brothers, Alfred (Alice) and William (Delores) Horner; sisters, Esther A. Mason and Antoinette H. Dunston; stepchildren, Robert, Bruce, Bernard, Michael and Cynthia Bonner; aunts, Alice Horner and Marion Green; her devoted companion, Earl Burns; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Horner; a sister, Verlene Horner; and a stepson, Marshal Bonner.
A celebration of Mrs. Bonner’s life and legacy will be held Friday, July 26, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. at Varick Memorial AME Zion Church, 246 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 9:00 – 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven.
